What Is Needed?

Of course, just having a water fed pole won't be enough to start the work.
To achieve the desired results, a comprehensive set of equipment is needed.

Reverse Osmosis Deionization System

Reverse Osmosis Deionization (RO/DI) system is one of the most popular pure water systems.

In this and other purification systems, water purification occurs through the application of pressure.

Water is forced through filters, membranes, and deionization resin, effectively removing calcium, magnesium, and other minerals that leave residues on windows.

What Strategy To Use For Window Cleaning?

At first glance, it may seem that no specific strategy is needed for window cleaning with a water fed pole.

 

You simply quickly move the brush across the window, and everything is clean, right?

 

Wrong!

 

Without utilizing a window cleaning strategy, you might be disappointed after all the hard work when you see residue from dried dirty water on the already cleaned windows.

1. Home Analysis

Each home has a different design, accessibility and number of windows. Based on that, we can determine where and how to start the window cleaning process to achieve fast and effective results.

First, it is important to understand the obstacles and create a plan on how to overcome them.

It may happen that windows are located close to a roof, behind tress, or have difficult access in the surrounding area. As a result, the windows are not reachable or it is not possible to create the necessary angle for proper brush pressure.

In such cases, there are only two options - either climb onto the roof (while ensuring your safety), or clean the windows as much as possible and move on to the next ones.

After identifying the obstacles, it is necessary to divide the house into sections so that the cleaning process can be focused on each part separately, allowing for faster work.

To illustrate our thought process, let's use the example of the house displayed.

1. When looking at the depicted house, we can see that the only obstacle that could hinder us is the roof located below the middle section-floor window.

2. The roof doesn't appear to extend too far outward, so I don't think it would interfere with the cleaning. However, if it does pose an obstacle, there are two ways to clean the window:

- One way is to use the water fed pole from the side, angling it diagonally if the roof slope allows for such an approach.

- If that is not possible, then one can climb onto the roof itself and retrieve the pole from someone positioned below (in this case, all safety precautions must be observed!).

3. We divide the house into 3 floors. We start the cleaning with the left upper window of the 3rd floor. (Read on to find out why starting with upper floor windows is important.)

4. We establish the sequence for window cleaning and begin the work. (The sequence is indicated in the picture.)

! We finish the upper floor and continue with lower and lower floors until we reach the 1st floor. This way, we prevent a situation where the already cleaned windows on the lower floor get splashed with dirt.

! If the house is wider and each floor has more windows, the window row on each floor can be divided into their own sections, just like the floors. (However, remember that it is important to finish one floor before moving on to the next.)

2. Window Analysis

Different types of windows have their own cleaning nuances, which depend on the number of panes, frame material, window size, and shape.

Windows with fewer panes are easier to clean as they have less space for dirt to accumulate.

Larger windows require more attention to rinsing as they have larger glass surfaces that need to be thoroughly rinsed.

The only frame material that requires caution is wood because if it hasn't been cleaned for a long time and has accumulated dirt, it may not be able to be cleaned, and dirt may constantly flow from it. Therefore, a different cleaning strategy may be necessary for such cases.

Each window is unique, and only through experience and testing will you understand the best cleaning strategy for each window.

This is the type of window that is on the home that we have analyzed, and the areas where the most dirt accumulates are marked.

Typically, between the glass and the frame, specifically in the lower part of the glass (’’pocket’’), the most dirt tends to accumulate.

This happens because over time, rainwater washes away all the dirt to the ''pocket'' where it accumulates.

The areas marked with colors indicate the spots that require special attention during the window cleaning process. (These are the areas where dirt tends to accumulate most frequently and where more intensive cleaning is particularly important.)

3. Cleaning Strategy

When it comes to cleaning windows, a cleaning strategy is of utmost importance, as window cleaning with a water fed pole requires more than just simple cleaning without any planning.

We have been specializing in window cleaning for 10 years and have meticulously studied the smallest details to find the best way to clean windows.

So far, you have successfully connected your fully equipped water fed pole to the pure water system and understood where and how to start the cleaning process.

However, there are still some final nuances that need to be considered to achieve sparkling clean windows.

Follow our cleaning strategy steps precisely and enjoy flawlessly clean windows. Let's go!

1. By using the water fed pole gooseneck, properly position the brush at the required angle.

- This will allow the bristles to accurately lay on the window, maximizing the use of all bristles, thereby increasing the brushing intensity and coverage area.

2. When cleaning windows, the water fed pole is held at 45-degree angle relative to the window.

- This ensures the necessary brush pressure to effectively perform window cleaning.

- With this method, you won't have to exert excessive force to press the brush against the window using your own strength.

3. We begin by cleaning the frame and the ''pocket'', and then perform a quick initial rinsing of the glass to dislodge any dirt.

- We thoroughly clean the frame and ''pocket'' (recommended at least twice), as this is the only moment when the frame will be cleaned, while we can move quickly over the glass, as we will come back to it later.

- During the cleaning process, we pay extra attention to specific areas such as the ''pocket'' and the frame above the glass. (If these areas are not thoroughly washed, dirt droplets can drip off the frame. When they dry, traces of dirt remain on the window.)

- We clean the frame and ''pocket'' for multiple windows on one floor (usually 5-6 windows), and after completing the cleaning, we return to the first window to proceed to the next step.

(This sequence is necessary to ensure that when we return to the first window, all dirt droplets have flowed away from the frame part above the glass.)

4. Once you have finished cleaning the frame of several windows and return to the first window, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the window glass that you rinsed in the previous step.

- When washing the glass, try not to touch the frame to reduce the chance of seeing traces of run off dirty water after the window has dried.

- Start with the upper panes and proceed to the lower ones, ensuring that all dirt is rinsed downward.

- Remember that there are areas that may require more attention, such as corners and sides.

! After thorough cleaning, the window glass needs to be rinsed to let the accumulated dirt flow away from the surface with the help of water flow.

- The water fed pole is moved from side to side without touching the glass, slowly descending until reaching the bottom of the glass, thereby covering the entire surface with a ''waterfall''.

- During the rinsing process, it is important to maintain a small distance between the glass and the brush to prevent the water stream from splashing around when it comes into contact with the glass surface, thus avoiding scattering dirt around the window.

- Creating this ''waterfall'' is crucial to allow the dirt to slide down with inertia and leave the glass surface.

- Removing the water fed pole from the glass surface can be facilitated by taking steps towards the house with the pole in hand, thus keeping the water fed pole upright.
